Yosemite Falls In the Summer

My favorite place on the Planet, Yosemite National Park. One thing I don't normally go there is in the middle of summer.
The crowds were horrendous. But I understand why. The park was absolutely gorgeous. Temps were mid 70's, the falls were still flowing strong and people are rafting on the Merced River. OHO. Turns out replacing my InstantPot seal after three years is night and day. Who knew?

Making basmati and it sealed to start pressuring within 7 minutes. Last week it was over 35 minutes.

It’s time for some sleeep

Good night my dear friends! ♥️

Its been a tough few days at BCWR. We stepped back from social media for a couple of days to re charge.

Emotions have been running a little high because we are passionate about what we do and we care.

Feeling a little recharged and refreshed this evening we thought you might like a little update on Pollyanna our "Yorkshire Hairy doll"

Pollyanna has been with us just 18 days and whilst she remains a little sneezy she is much better than she was when she arrived.

Incredible, sensitive, scientifically informed reporting from a local paper in St. Louis, saying what we all expected: Parents whose children were treated at the Transgender Center completely contradict the account of a self-described whistleblower, explaining a slow, methodical proccess for treating trans youth in their care.

Read this. Share this. The truth deserves to get as big an audience as transphobic lies.

Well I took the dogs out to the field today. These two in particular needed to get out and run. Pretty wet back here and very muddy on the way back here, but we did get some sun. Unfortunately it was very windy and cold all day, so I didn't get to enjoy it. The dogs did though. #dogsofmastodon #germanshepherd

It recently struck me that 27 years ago there was a movie with Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo playing drag queens, and if it came out today, someone would firebomb the theaters it was in. I'm not putting a sensitive warning on this picture because it's not fucking sensitive. its a movie that came out in 1995. things have moved backwards in a terrifying way.

#WackyWednesday 😄 Heh heh! I procured an entire package of hot dog buns 🌭and managed to snarf down half a bun before mom figured out what was happening! I'm now engaging in a celebratory after lunch nap. 😹 #CatsOfMastodon #TabbyCat #CatsOfMasto #Cats #Catting

It's got to be bad enough that now I just keep my own "scrapbook" of articles I read. Basically bookmarks with parts of the article cut and pasted. The filename is the author and title. I manage it all with Emacs. This is the first resource I check when I want to try and remember something I read about online.

Adam Kinzinger is nothing to be celebrated, honestly. Aside from voting to impeach, Kinzinger is just another typical conservative. He's got a 0% approval rating from Planned Parenthood, an 11% rating from the Human Rights Campaign (the biggest LGBT advocacy group in the country), voted in line with Trump's decisions 90% of the time, voted against the Equality Act, and has voted against many bills that are centered around equality and anti-discrimination.

UKRAINIAN TRAINING!

Exciting and dynamic video from the Australian Defense Force's Operation Kudu Public Affairs, in which instructors from the 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, 1st Brigade, Australian Army Land Forces conducted a unit (platoon) combat training exercise in urbanized areas for conscripts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of basic combined military training in Great Britain.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine must stop, and it has not only destabilized the world but also affected prices in Argentina, Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero said. ⛔️Program contains misleading information pertaining to duration of Ukraine war. Ukraine war/invasion began in 2014 with Russia’s invasion of Crimea. - anchor states: “…of the 12 months of ‘the war’ in Ukraine….” Currently war is in year 9, not year 2.

I've been following the Russian invasion of #Ukraine pretty closely and often use Google maps to see where events are unfolding. It just struck me how Google integrates images with those maps, and they're all pre-war. Really pretty public buildings, parks with swans, children's playgrounds. All gone. What a senseless crime.
