My teenage son was being a horrible ass yesterday, and no one could deal with him. So I told him to eat something and put on good outdoor shoes. Took him to the #Gila National Forest by way of #FortBayard #NewMexico.

And we hiked. I didn’t lecture him about his behavior, and hardly spoke at all. I let the forest do the #parenting. We walked a good 10 miles. Then I bought him a burger and took him home with a different attitude.

Will repeat as necessary.

This is Ben during a walk around the yard a couple days ago. I think he's catching up. Every day during the first phase of our walk, I have to keep reminding Ben to come on, let's go. Ben is obsessed with a dog across the street and constantly stops to look longingly in that direction. Ben's been my best good buddy for 14 years.

Today’s Republican Party, while claiming to stand for limited government, stands for government intrusion everywhere. They are:

-Outlawing abortions.

-Prohibiting teachers from teaching about America’s racist past.

-Making it harder to vote.

This is not limited government.

The EU voted to abolish daylight saving time in 2019. However, we continue this stupid practice because some states want to stay on DST year round, while others want to stay on standard time year round.

The correct answer is standard time year round because:

1. Time is an illusion. Let’s keep it simple.
