NRA Conventions, where guns are banned, appear to be some of the safest places in the US. Our public schools should follow suit and become "NRA safe havens."

What! Another hummingbird pic?

I actually wanted to post a picture I took today of two hummingbirds. But then I snapped this one that really shows of the iridescent feathers. I'm not sure about the sex, the dark area on could be markings or a young male or it could be just shadow. I'm going with young male, feel free to correct if you know better.

@twitterreject 2018: Russian politician Alexander Torshin, a prominent Kremlin-linked figure, cultivated close ties with leaders of the National Rifle Association (NRA) over six years to gain deeper access into American politics. Torshin's ties to the NRA provided him access to Donald Trump and the opportunity to serve as a foreign election observer in the United States during the 2012 election. The FBI is investigating whether Torshin, the deputy governor of the Bank of Russia, illegally funneled money to the NRA to assist the Trump campaign in 2016.

Fox News to defend its on-air lies as blockbuster Dominion trial to kick off https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/apr/16/fox-news-lawsuit-dominion-trial-rupert-murdoch?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

Such an interesting, sad situation. You can lie to Americans with impunity, but if you defame a corporation and they catch you red-handed, justice might prevail. Then, shareholders will sue you, because they now have standing. But the US public, who is most damaged by these lies has no legal standing.

The town of Étretat, France is separated from Britain by the English Channel. The views are stunning over the aqua waters, especially as the day comes to an end. These white chalk cliffs were once a part of the cliffs seen in England before a rift separated the two.

Seeing a lot of the old Twitter thing where people don't follow anyone back or maybe just follow back a tenth of their followers. Bugged the hell or if me when I was on Twitter and still does apparently.🙄🙄

In Texas, the Republicans won't rest until enough Democratic voters are disqualified from voting, or their votes nullified, to ensure absolute control for Republicans for decades to come.

This is happening nationwide where Republicans control things. It's a national issue.

Yet Big Journalism, apart from sporadic coverage that consistently misses the forest for the trees, continues to miss the emergency represented by that this accelerating attack on democracy.

It's late, but it's still #StallionSaturday! This is Cobra, a bachelor in the south Onaqui herd. There are more bachelors in this herd than is appropriate, since the 2021 roundup! They removed so many horses with no regard to herd stability or future genetic viability.
