@kathrynmathias @dbattistella @jace Sadly the US textbook industry was long ago taken over by right wingers. Texas is a large market. Publishers don't wanna make lots of versions of a textbook, so most only publish the Texas version. It's horrible. I used to teach school and I've been warning of the risk to democracy for a long time now. Mostly felt like the lone voice here in the Missouri Ozarks. I have hope now that others are recognizing the problem.
