At this point, I’m not surprised to find out the shooter in Allen, TX had white supremacy connections.

Whatever his motive, the reason people are dead, again, is because this guy had easy access. To guns. This search for a motive is somewhat of a distraction from the clear imperative.

Because the decent people all know what needs to be done—universal background checks, assault rifle bans, age limits, and so on—and the people standing in our way aren’t decent.

The federal government is weeks away from running out of cash because Republicans during the Trump Administration enacted massive deficits (tax cuts, airline bailouts, military expansion). Now Republicans are holding the global economy hostage by refusing to allow the government to borrow the money it needs to cover the budget deficits they enacted. (We're less than a year into post-Trump Democrat-led budgets by my count. The debt is, currently, not Democrats' doing.)

So that makes sense.
