In Georgia, you can now make "unlimited challenges against anyone in their county" with claims that the people whose voter registration you're challenging are voting illegally. You don't have to offer any proof — just mount a challenge, in the bizarro vigilante-justice culture Republicans are now creating, where a number of states permit you to stalk and report women you supsect of having abortions or traveling across state lines for abortions.

@washingtonpost has done a great job placing a spotlight on book bans. I believe book bans are one front in the battle to undermine democracy. The effort to ban books is closely linked to the battle to privatize the schools. We ignore these battles at our peril.

I was 10 years old & some animal (we figured it was a cat) made this god-awful scream. I wrote a story about an evil woman who, at the end, was cursed to live her life as a cat.

There are 27 decks on this ship our room is on deck 9. This photo is deck 8 they call it Central Park. It’s an open area between staterooms on either side. There is a beautiful garden running the length of the area with restaurants and shops on that level. I even saw small birds among the plants.

@masukomi I’ve gotta admit, our experiences during the last Field Day we went to where the local clubs were ALL men who wouldn’t even look at me, even though I am the more geeky of us and probably more interested in their gear than you were… that made me real unhappy. And the time we went to buy stuff at that store and every question I asked, the sales guy responded to YOU, not me… just ugh.

How can I want to participate in a hobby where I get treated like that?
