It's funny how political language is different in America and Europe, because where you say 'liberal' we'd say 'social democratic' and where you say 'conservative' we'd say 'Die Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei.'

It's the return of #Section28, as the vile #KemiBadenoch tries to either cow or just plain beat #Trans kids into submission.

She wants them afraid, alone and unable to confide in anyone. Most abuse happens at home.

I think this is the primary reason #Tumblr has not implemented #ActivityPub on their site.

They are making silly business decisions (charging money to add a custom domain), which screams of desperation.

Reading this makes think Tumblr will probably not join the #Fediverse this year.

In the last 16 hours on Mastodon I've seen a person who is an expert in cave insects, someone else who posts about moss/slime molds, and a STEM educator who takes a planetarium around remote towns in the US.

To reference Rihanna, 'This is what I came for'.

Good Morning Friends! I was not sure I would get to post at all this week, so here is a big rundown of a bunch of different topics. Some Tears of the Kingdom, Pokemon Arceus, Dave the Diver, and a bit about my latest @Ammosart commission.

A smoke filled sky & smoke filtered sun. One devastating result of climate change.

These will continue to get worse if we don’t act with urgency.

I’m running for U.S. Congress because we must address climate change as the existential threat it is—not give lip service while taking tens of thousands in fossil fuel money.

Over on the #Birdsite, as one of the #NAFO #Fellas usually the only accounts who would preemptively block me like that were mid-tier #Vatniks. Not the big fish, but pro #Russia accounts that were virulently anti #Ukraine, not someone like an editor of an opposition #news outlet. So you can imagine my surprise when I migrated to the #Fediverse & saw @kevinrothrock was already here & hadn't blocked me already

I’m fortunate to have so many birds in the surrounding neighborhoods. Lots of opportunities to practice photography.

Just for once, I wish people like Friedersdorf who claim to be on the side of racial and social progress would grapple with the fact that they are simply rehashing all the arguments that “moderates” have always deployed against any challenge to the discriminatory status quo.

Sadly, I'm not even shocked at this point since we seem to have the most boring people running the world.

I'm pretty excited...I'm nearing completion of my master's program and as part of the fulfillment of that, I'll need to share my capstone project publicly.

I'm looking forward to putting it out there and I'm really hoping folks enjoy it!
