Robeson encouraged African Americans to join the struggle against injustice and to eradicate the remnants of slavery, stating,

I would be even blunter than this: American conservatism stopped caring about ideas a long time ago. The old conservatism died when a Black man was elected President, and has become just a raving, racist, atavistic ideology of blind hate and irrationality ever since. That an amoral grifter like Trump would wear its corpse like the bug-man in MIB was an inevitability. It's now about raw power, not ideas.

@eeyam there is the constant pain, combined with the stonewalling, minimisation and ignorance that you receive from society at large re: COVID now.

Virtually all countries have abandoned mitigations, and when you're sat there with this condition you feel very very deliberately abandoned from folk.

Every "I've been to this!" photo with people not mitigating the risk with masks, every time friends do things without you... It adds up.

This is what I’m dealing with, you guys.

There is a moral test happening now. Putin is trying to destroy the idea of freedom and self-determination. Whether through his war with #Ukraine; or through propaganda on social media to confuse citizens about their own democracy; or through supporting coups in democratic Africa.

The fight is psychological.

Humans are born to decide their own fate - not be ruled by a predator class who feeds off others. Self-determination unleashes the potential of humanity. It is an idea worth defending.
