Took a shower and feel fresher. I seem to be developing more tolerance to cold water rinses at the end, though maybe that won't hold up when the cooler and then colder weather arrives.

But at least right now it feels good to end showers with a cold rinse of 30 seconds or more.

@tofugolem I remember school in the 90s teaching about the Nazis’ rise to power and understanding the importance of learning about it, so it could never happen again. But for years I didn’t get how it was possible to deceive an entire nation the way they did. How could people be so terrible? How could not enough recognize it and take action? How could so many believe propaganda?

Then the brexit vote happened here in the UK and Drumpf won the 2016 US election, and I understood.

One wonders how they would decide the issue today. Our judicial system used to be the pride of the world. No longer.

God politics is depressing.

The conservative party today adopted policies that say the gender-affirming care my child received as a minor, with my support and consent, should not have been available to them, and that they pose a threat to biological women in bathrooms.

It is stupid, false, hateful, dangerous nonsense, a form of constitutionally-protected hate speech, against my own child.

And what can I do about that? Nothing at all, except say loudly that they do not speak for me.
