The #fediverse is international, but there may are continents with more users. Let’s proof that!

Which continent are you living on?

Definitely Monday.

"The media has clearly not learned any lessons from the rise of Trump since 2016 — or worse, they knew these lessons all along and simply disregarded them in pursuit of profit. Either situation is dire, especially as Trump ramps up his authoritarian rhetoric into mask-off fascist hate. There is a crisis coming, and the media certainly bears a large part of the responsibility."

Have A Great Day!

Joseph Plateau died #OTD in 1883.

He was one of the first people to demonstrate the illusion of a moving image. To do this, he used counterrotating disks with repeating drawn images in small increments of motion on one and regularly spaced slits in the other. He called this device of 1832 the phenakistiscope. via @wikipedia

Contemplation, photography. What better place to sit quietly and think than a beautiful beach at sunset?

"The producers and executives over at Meet the Press? They don’t give a shit about your angry tweets. Kristen Welker isn’t reading your 2,000-word Twitter Blue novella about the responsibility journalists owe to democracy in a time of rising civil unrest. Even if she was, the team over at Meet the Press cares about as much for your opinion as they do a stranger on the street."

Good morning friends, cronies and the Mastodon people passing by!🙂👋 Welcome to Monday, it's a bit bitter at first but gets better as the day goes on. 🥴 I'm wearing my new The Gentle Barn lapel pin on my company jacket, it really completes my look.

Have a wonderful day!

A close up shot of a male pileated woodpecker (males have the red stripe seen here in the picture) checking out the hole in the tree.

He took a brief look in the hole and then climbed up and pecked the tree a few more times in different places before moving on to another tree.

You know, it’s entirely possible that I’ll spend the whole day in bed today. You may commence your envy at any time.

I love going down my timeline and reviewing the posts that I have boosted and seeing how well they do. I really enjoy people having success on here. Such good stuff and so much of it. I give things a second look which I rarely did at the last place. While some corners do need building up content wise, nothing comes close to the fediverse for quality.

After seven long years I finally got to see (and this time also properly photograph) an aurora.
This was taken last night in the Marsfjället nature reserve

31 minutes into day drinking and my in-laws have let us know they're stopping by in 5 minutes. Fan-fucking-tastic.

We need to harness the power of Right Wing Cope to power our cities

Trump, when asked about how many votes he needed, was pressed “are you acknowledging you didn’t win?”

When asked if he can sleep at night from the indictments—he rambles about being ahead in primary polls

He whines we don’t have a democracy, and he’s being persecuted—then says he would lock up his political opponents

It’s not insanity. It’s evil.

What will be different next year is the presidential election and the resources it will bring. Conservative donors and activists are building the tools, organizations and plans to disrupt the right to vote with the same fervor that Trump and his allies tried to stop the peaceful transfer of power on Jan. 6.
