I worked 24 hours over the weekend replacing an old SQL Server Failover Cluster Instance. I'm exhausted, but it was worth it. I've wanted to replace it for several years.

The boss is happy and so am I: early performance results this morning look really good, and no one has called to complain about stuff being broken.

The ousted Polish government was headed by the PiS party — a nationalist, populist, authoritarian party which thought Poland would be a better country, if gays were percecuted, the rule of law was threatened, and Poland was in conflict with the EU.

On this day in 1916, the first family planning clinic in the USA opened. Sisters Margaret Sanger and Ethel Byrne, and artist Fania Mindell opened a clinic which supplied barrier contraceptives and provided information about how to prevent pregnancy.

Just nine days later, the clinic was raided by police and all three women were arrested.
