With half of Congress doing everything possible to see him fail, Biden has shown leadership and statesmanship this country has been lacking for years.

Nothing quite angers me like using an app that recommends to me people that I “should” know.

Which means that person probably allowed the app access to their contacts.

Giving an app access to your contacts is like spreading a venereal disease. Now this app knows who I am connected to, and can probably figure out why and how. That’s more information than I wanted to give them.

Don’t give apps access to your contacts. It’s not just your privacy that’s at stake.

Giving moving to San Francisco advice to other Singaporeans who are moving here. By and large, people from Singapore cannot deal with living in the suburbs, and we also think somewhere like say, the Inner Richmond or Bernal Heights is a suburb. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling to not be around high rise buildings and massive density.

The actual suburbs are still terrifying for me. Especially the part where you have to get into a car

@hacks4pancakes it amazes me how some people really do not understand that economic violence is real violence. that "the free market" has pinned workers against each other while the real violators, the capitalists who bought themselves de-regulation, are laughing themselves silly all the way to the bank. this lack of awareness makes is what's keeping us back. it doesn't breed solidarity across paycheck sizes.

Anyone who thinks we are going to solve the climate crisis by persuading oil companies to pivot to green solutions doesn’t understand the skill set and mind set of such companies’ boards.
These are people who have spent their lives maintaining the status quo of giant industrial juggernauts. They would simply be completely lost if asked to do anything entrepreneurial. I’ve seen such boards buy up and accidentally destroy many innovative start-ups, by managing them in the only way they know.
