@AmishSuperModel thank you for bringing light to this! I’ve been left disgruntled for so long, yearning that I may one day be gruntled once again. It troubles me so.

Clarence Thomas and Leonard Leo, the kingmaker who has packed the court with right-wing justices, are "closest friends." Both belong to the secretive, extremely wealthy, theocratic Catholic right-wing cult Opus Dei. OD is hostile to democracy, which it works to erode from the inside, by placing members in powerful positions in government and business.

This is the root of Thomas's anti-democratic behavior. But try getting media to notice it.

If I had been paying for Adobe Creative Cloud every month since graduating, I would have now spent over $5,000 on it.

And if I cancelled, I'd have nothing to show for it; no access to my work, no right or ability to open the programs any longer.

Instead, I bought the Affinity creative suite, for which I have spent under $400 total (I've bought it more than once), and which I own to use for as long as they'll run.

I don't always make good choices, but this one turned out rather nicely.

The reason Ukraine is running out of artillery shells and other critically important supplies is, Speaker Mike Johnson in his clean suit on the left thinks, the weapons support to the Ukrainian soldier on the right can wait.

So Mike Johnson is now going home to celebrate Christmas with his family, while this soldier is trying to fight the Russian invasion with even less weapons.

The US deserves better politicians.

My new cat Luna finally feels safe enough from the depredations of Olive the Death Kitty that she's started doing a bit of exploring. She and Rua haven't had any problems so far.

Luna is a 4 y.o. mackerel tabby from a local shelter.
