Random fun film fact: The crow in It’s a Wonderful Life seen in the Building & Loan that Uncle Billy kept as a pet is the same crow that flew on Scarecrow’s arm in The Wizard of Oz whom he was unable to scare. His name was Jimmy and he was a raven who first appeared in You Can’t Take It With You directed by Frank Capra who went on to cast the bird in every subsequent movie he made.

This is a great reference link. Thanks.

Sadly, I think the #Maga #Fascist and #TheoFascists currently threatening #CivilSociety and #democracy are simply too #Illiterate and/or lazy to read this material.

It has been widely reported the #MangoMussolini speaks at the language comprehension level of a 4th grader. This is the level of #comprehension of 90% of the #RadicalRight.

So very honored that this image was chosen to be included in the 2023 End of the Year Showcase for The Art of Fishing gallery on Fine Art America, 12/29/2023...

Super-courageous woman. She knew the risks. Standing up for the constitution in this MAGA thug society takes courage. Love her.

disclosure: I work for Mozilla Corp.

I won't defend Mitchell's salary, but you've got some details wrong here. Mozilla Corp is a for-profit company 100% owned by Mozilla Foundation, a non-profit. Google's $ goes to the corp, and that (plus other revenues) pays everyone who works there, including Mitchell. Donations go to the foundation, not the corp. There are legal walls btn the two, donations *can't* go to the corporation.

@bibliolater First step will be to port over the translation feature and the in-line toot editing feature mainline mastodon got.

After that we plan to do a feature with regards to block lists where the server can block other servers but users can opt to ignore the recommended block list if they want.

Not all construction work is equally enjoyable...

For example, enlarging a drilled hole is boring, but fastening pieces of metal together is riveting.

"Today is the 50th anniversary of the Skylab strike, the first labor strike to occur in space. Astronauts protested micromanagement, employer spying, and long hours. They demanded a day off, regular breaks, and greater workplace autonomy, but NASA refused. So they shut off the radio and took the day off, floating around, enjoying space, and taking photos of Earth. NASA gave in to their demands after one day."
