In serialized storytelling, the "7-year rule" is the idea that, in some genres, you can re-use the same plots every 7 years or so because the audience will have mostly changed in that time. You can see examples of this in silver-age superhero comics, professional wrestling, and the financial sector.

This is one of my hanging feeders. They work better than the one that is standing on a post. The pigeons and squirrels aren't able to easily access the bird seed, so it lasts longer.

Here's a couple of chipping sparrows and what I believe is a northern cardinal. I've watched these a lot and I think the sparrow on the far side of the window is approaching.

As we have been discussing this recently, just posting the BBC tech news report. Clearly at this stage we are not fully sure what Meta are planning to do.

I think what we CAN be sure of is:

Agressive marketing to get people to use their new platform
Early integration with things like Websites, word press
Algorithms that will help people find THEM and related software first
Speculation : Some sort of hidden agenda

And probably other tactics.

As a community we are strong, established, so we can counter this, by making sure integration works really well and we just carry on innovating and developing, but importantly spread the word.
