Hey, do you think the power is on?

@danwentzel The Icelandic banks that did not fail in the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis were run by women because they chose not to invest in something no one could properly explain. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/a-nordic-revolution-the-heroines-of-reykjavik-7658212.html?amp

On one hand, we have the guys who want to check your kids' genitals, track their menstrual cycles & force them to give birth after rape.

On the other hand, we have the fabulous queens who want to read your kids stories.

Guess who Republicans want you to be terrified of.

the worst part about all the hatred transfems get online is that it works. i’ve only been online as a trans woman for like five years and i’ve seen so many of us destroyed by the stress of it.

There’s replies here saying that she apparently used drugs and the drugs *may* have caused the miscarriage, but even then, this isn’t manslaughter

20 year-old Native American woman, Brittney Poolaw, was convicted by an Oklahoma jury of manslaughter for the death of her 17-week-old, nonviable fetus. She faces four years in prison for a miscarriage she suffered less than halfway through her pregnancy.

"Unlike other Western economies, the Icelandic government let its three major banks - Kaupthing, Glitnir and Landsbankinn - fail and went after reckless bankers. Many senior executives have been jailed" - BBC

The FBI arrested a Peekskill, NY man this week who allegedly admitted to being "Pompompurin," the administrator of the popular English-language cybercrime forum BreachForums.

Conor Brian Fitzpatrick has been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit access deice fraud.

Pompompurin has been a thorn in the side of the FBI for years, taking credit for blasting a fake email alert through the FBI's systems in 2021. BreachForums is widely considered a reincarnation of RaidForums, a remarkably similar crime forum that the FBI infiltrated and dismantled in 2022.

BreachForums is the place where some of the biggest database compromises of the past year have first surfaced.

Most recently, BreachForums was the sales forum for data stolen from DC Health Link, a health insurance exchange based in Washington, D.C. that suffered a data breach this month. The sales thread initially said the data included the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, health plan and enrollee information and more on 170,000 individuals, although the official notice about the breach says 56,415 people were affected in the DC Health Link breach.

The Russian theft of Ukrainian children is in some ways Putin's cruellest and most sinister crime: cold, premeditated, genocidal. This is exactly the right international response

One of only three remaining structures of it's type, it sure is fascinating to ponder just who might have crossed this ancient path...
