My Dr told me I was going deaf. The news was hard for me to hear.

Section 3 of the #14thAmendment to the #Constitution, also known as the #DisqualificationClause, explicitly bars any person from holding federal or state office who took an “oath… to support the Constitution of the #UnitedStates” as a federal officer and then “engaged in #insurrection or #rebellion” or gave “aid or comfort” to insurrectionists, unless #Congress removes the disqualification by a two-thirds vote.

Helped the neighbor lady plow her drive. She said, “I could marry you!” I was really taken aback. You do something nice and someone tries to ruin your life.

The covid pandemic certainly us realize how callously indifferent to human suffering some wealthy white people have become.

They protested hospitals in gas guzzling SUV's & complained how border closures meant their lawn care company was "too expensive now". Or how angry that their nail salon was closed.

The deaths of those workers was an irrelevant annoyance to them. The deaths of 1.15 million Americans was an inconvenience.

They view the 3rd world the same.

Fuck everything about this story. From the "4-H program" at the Shasta District Fair, where kids raise an animal to then sell and kill, to the sheriff, judge and everyone at the fair.

Why did the mom even sign up the little girl for this program anyway?!

Poor goat and poor kid.

The criminal charges against Donald Trump in Manhattan are more severe than we initially knew - Palmer Report

Well, this is what I have been hoping for. And when is that next indictment?

I want to remind everyone who’s wondering why someone like Andy Ogles is representing Nashville that this is why:

Gerrymandering is anti-democratic, and designed to deny fair representation of voters.

One party revels in stripping Americans of their rights, and it isn’t Democrats.

I haven't posted in a while because my mind has been in a dark place. However, I'm back on this #TransgenderDayOfVisibility. I'm not dead yet. My stories--both the one I'm living and the one I've written--haven't ended. We all must persist because if we disappear, then tyrannical monsters like Ron DeSantis, Tucker Carlson, and Matt Walsh win. To make a brighter future, we need to be visible, stay visible, fight back against their lies, and work to establish our place in public life.

Yet I must persist
If I die, DeSantis wins
Reclaim our future

Carl sagan’s thought about books:
“When our genes could not store all the information necessary for survival, we slowly invented them. But then the time came, perhaps ten thousand years ago, when we needed to know more than could conveniently be contained in brains. So we learned to
stockpile enormous quantities of information outside our bodies. We are the only species on the planet, so far as we know, to have
invented a communal memory stored neither in our genes nor in our brains. The warehouse of that memory is called the library. A book is made from a tree. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time, proof that humans can work magic.”

Something which made me #happy yesterday over on the #birdsite

It started when a #transphobic UK account shared a screenshot from a young #trans man's Go Fund Me. This poor lad had around $150 in his fundraiser after a year, and the vile account decided to bully him out of sheer cruelty.

However, this backfired in a rather wonderful way. #Progressive Twitter did its thing, and less than 12 hours later, Leon's goal of $10,000 had been passed 💖🏳️‍⚧️

Starting today, around 15 million people will be kicked off Medicaid. This is what happens when governments pretend the pandemic is over, instead of acknowledging #COVID is a long-term issue that continues to harm and requires lasting structural changes.
