It takes very little intellectual curiosity and historical awareness to know "Christian Patriotism" and related strains of American fascism are old and extremely common. There's a reason the Christian right is such a prominent part of the GOP. None of this is new. Fascists have like one playbook they run repeatedly and people still keep asking, "Is this fascism?
