On an algorithm-based site, after consistent posting for five years, I have 1,427 followers. On a non-algorithmic site, after consistent posting for one year, I have 1,004 followers. Considering that there is a lot of cross-posting and the same content on both platforms, it makes one wonder.

Not that I think my posts are all that great or anything or that I care about clout, I just thought this was interesting.

You might have noticed that I boosted a few---or maybe 50---toots about duly-elected Representative #ZooeyZephyr being censured, silenced and oppressed by the #Montana House today. For speaking truth to power. For protecting her constituents.

And I'll keep boosting those posts because everyone needs to pay attention to this story. This assault on #Democracy.

B/c it was not enough to silence her voice on the House floor, #Montana Republicans have banished Rep. #ZooeyZephyr from the state legislature for the rest of the session. She will not be permitted to represent her 11,000 constituents who elected her to speak for them. GOP lawmakers misgendered Zephyr & accused her of violating decorum by opposing their anti-trans bills & saying they would have “blood on their hands”. Protesters who supported her were arrested. This is what #fascism looks like.

•0 of them left USA
•All remained exceedingly wealthy
•Manufacturing boomed
•The middle class was 62% of US economy (It's now 40% post 'trickle down scamenomics)
•We had the strongest middle class growth in US History

Let's do that again. Stop protecting billionaires. Start taxing them.
