Get that Russian real estate while it's hot, friends and fellow Americans who want to live in (white, heterosexual, right-wing) paradise! Don't shed tears for us left back here. We'll be so busy dealing with the problems you've left behind for all of us that we won't miss you.

When an act of violence occurs in the US, the people screaming that it is about mental health and we should focus on mental health never seem to be people advocating for improved funding for mental health treatment and medications. In fact, generally speaking I find the same folks are actually cutting funding for mental health treatment and resources.

I would kindly ask US journalists to immediately ask “how do you plan to help with that” every time one of these jokers blames mental health.

Melbourne, Australia: Once again, neo-nazis march on the streets of Melbourne and once again they are outnumbered by anti-fascist protesters. These fuckers held their own protest against immigration, claiming that lack of housing and jobs are the blame of immigrants and that Australia should be for the white man, echoing (watered down) talking points of Peter Dutton and the Liberal Party. The danger these nazis present by their presence alone, potentially encouraging more hate-related violence for one, cannot be ignored and every effort must be made to kick them off our streets, once again.

@StillIRise1963 Yes, there are many Floridians who do not support the fascist actions of the governor and the GOP dominated legislature. We are struggling to defend what's left of our democracy.

Putin killed someone with a nuclear poison in London and then used Novichok in Salisbury.

Now the Brits are giving Ukraine Storm Shadow missiles.

The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.

Happy #Caturday I bequeath to you a floppy Gracie-butt picture. She does this thing where she flops at my feet and stretches while I am on the toilet. She is the first cat I've ever had where petting her belly is not a trap. She wants her belly rubbed.

Making a second rainbow fish to see how well this project works with fleece fabric. Apparently fleece laser cuts and etches quite well. Currently waiting for the second set of scales to print before sewing them into the interior along with the electronics.

Backyard birds hide.

This red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) was flying over checking out the backyard birds. The hawk hid among the vultures - quite clever. I found a puff of feathers in the yard not long before taking this photograph.

"This is probably the most common hawk in North America. If you’ve got sharp eyes you’ll see several individuals on almost any long car ride, anywhere. Red-tailed Hawks soar above open fields, slowly turning circles on their broad, rounded wings. Other times you’ll see them atop telephone poles, eyes fixed on the ground to catch the movements of a vole or a rabbit, or simply waiting out cold weather before climbing a thermal updraft into the sky." - allaboutbirds.org

@anneapplebaum How will Mike Flynn now earn a living?

Tonight I spoke at an AAPI event and mentioned America's history of anti-Asian discrimination—including the Chinese Exclusion Act, the Asiatic Exclusion League, & Koramatsu & Japanese Camps.

Afterwards an older gentlemen approached me and said, "Thank you for reminding everyone the US Govt locked Japanese Americans in camps. I know—because I was born in those camps. I carry that with me til this day."

I was left in awe. A reminder—this isn't ancient history folks. It's contemporary reality.

People, when I order a lemon-flavored dessert, I don’t want a dessert that listened to a desultory description of a lemon before being sent out of the kitchen. No, I want ASSERTIVE LEMONESCENCE. I want that lemon to slap my hiney and make its presence KNOWN. I want my mouth to pucker and my salivary glands to attack my ears. I want to dream all in yellow reverb. That’s what I want. None of this namby-pamby pastel yellow food coloring.

Friends, I bought and adorned this egg chair for writing on my patio and listening to the birds and frogs and bugs. I am overjoyed by its gloriousness.

Also may accidentally attract a Fae princess and I’m 100% okay with that.

Heartening to know that you would give even less credit to anything Drumpft.

Hell for brains, I thought worse than shit for brains, and I wanted good folks to know that Drumpft exists in a tormented state, which is some solace considering how creeps like the GOP and CNN keep giving a lifeline to the ugly disgusting it-thing that is Drumpft.

This rabbit has discovered that crossposting from Mastodon to Twitter no longer works.

'Bald Eagle on Blue' is my latest work in soft pastel on a beige paper with a slight linear texture. I think I'll design some Fourth of July greeting cards with this one.

See the artwork in my online gallery at https://mm-anderson.pixels.com/featured/bald-eagle-on-blue-mm-anderson.html and soon at the other links listed in my profile. #BirdArt #PastelArtist #ArtistsOnMastodon #MastoArt #art #birds #BaldEagle #wildlife
