While we blab away about "codes of ethics", those terms skirt the real problem: Supreme Court justices are making themselves rich by selling rulings to even richer oligarchs.

The whole enterprise stinks. The highest court is literally an organized crime ring, and several of those justices should face decades of prison time.

Here’s how to contact Target and tell them what you think about them removing pride articles from their shelves as result of irate and violent customers.

Mind that the people reading your posts or getting your calls just work there, so be polite to them but strong in your words about Target caving to what is essentially right-wing terrorism: corporate.target.com/about/con

@NorCal_Lynne she is. I was worried too, but we went to a different pet store afterwards and she walked up nicely to the cashier and took some treats from her.

Dan Eggen, for the Washington Post: "An analysis of book challenges from across the nation shows the majority were filed by just 11 people"

Eleven people, how many children deprived of books they need?

Many people imagine professional astronomers hunched over a #telescope and taking notes. We no longer work that way, as light captured by the telescope is registered by complex instruments. But sometimes it's fun to use your eyes!

I took this pic a few years ago, when we removed one of the instruments of ESO's Very Large Telescope in #Chile. A screen was temporarily attached in its place, and we used it to project the #Moon and show it to everyone at the observatory

Meet Murukesan T P, known locally as the Mangrove Man of Vypin Island, India. He says he has planted over 100,000 mangroves! Mangroves serve as natural buffers against storms and sea level rise. They're also great at absorbing CO2! via @pattrn

The blob is expanding, not unlike the radio bubble expanding from earth. But our bubble is a neat sphere with a clear center, and the signals contain intelligible order.

The blob signal is just white noise, much of it similar to radio signals from natural sources like stars... but no stars could create a signal bubble with such a shape or strength.

It dawns on us that someone is trying very hard to mask their signals and locations. 2/

As the United States heads toward running out of cash in a few weeks, here's a reminder how this happened:

* The law says what tax rates are, determining revenue.
* Each year laws are enacted that direct money to be spent a certain way.
* An older law limits national debt.
* Republicans drove up the debt during the Trump Admin (tax cuts, airline bailouts, etc) so that the limit is about to be reached.

The laws are logically incompatible.

Today I celebrate the life of Oreo! An iconic Onaqui stallion lost last week due to injuries. It's part of life in the wild, the cost of freedom some say.
A fixture of the north herd for many years, he was a band stallion and had run with the bachelors. He was a benevolent teacher of the young.

@SrRochardBunson
And don't forget there are Republicans TODAY who think "Child Labor" should be made legal again, actually arguing "it BENEFITS poor families having that extra income."

Of course, none of them considers for a microsecond how "not being in school" or "lower grades b/c a child is too tired to learn" condemns these same families into a cycle of poverty. 🤬
