This is Liam the Lion.
Liam was brought to us from BD3 with a very swollen and sore leg. He is not neutered or chipped and is very underweight
Liam has has emergency treatment and will be reviewed by our vets. Liam is not currently being considered for adoption.
This is Nectar.
Nectar has apparently been stray for quite some time but has been fed in a property very regularly. They noticed Nectar wasnt well and contacted us!
Nectar hasn't eaten or drunk for at least 4 days and in this heat that could be very dangerous or even fatal. Whilst there are no clinical signs to suggest why she hasnt eaten anything Nectar has had emergency care, bloods and is currently on intravenous fluid therapy.
Canadian #wildfires have added more than a million hectares to land burned over the past week. Now 4th most area burned in any year in the modern record there.
Today a smoke plume is delivering #CodePurple air to #Minneapolis, with some of the worst air quality on record there.
I'm sure you've already read this stellar essay by @catvalente back in December, when it was about Twitter.
Now it's an essay about Reddit, and the good news is that you can read it again!

SO since there has not been a peep - I am guessing #SCOTUS is planning to hear The Student Loan frivolous cases just at the end of June when everything closes for the Fourth of July.
Does anyone know any different? If it is so, it's going to be another "Rule and Dash" against The Constitution. Right?
Just mere coinicidence Repugnicans came out with a "Student Plan plan" just now before they "ruled in June", right?

As I alluded to the other day, I'm not here to conscript anyone into a war and it is a war; given the stakes, you must by now understand your class enemies are definitely treating it as a war.
But when you're done freaking out, you're going to realize the sun still rises and you're not dead yet. And then, you're going to have to decide what to DO. There are right and wrong answers there but at least you won't by lying to yourself for nazis tryina kill you no more...
@GottaLaff , I agree, Jack Smith seems like he takes his job seriously as a public servant.
Yep, #ScreenwritersEverywhere recognise the importance of the #WGAstrike and stand with them. It feels like this is one of the last opportunities to argue for Art over Algorithms and the value of ideas in themselves. @WritersGuildGB

Did you know that a 13 year old enslaved girl, Grace Wisher, helped create America’s flag that also inspired the national anthem?
You would have known this but K-12 public schools in America primarily highlight the historical achievements of only white men. #FlagDay2023
We’re losing.
I’m hesitant to start off this memo on such a grim note, but it’s true: The people putting out the truth are under siege in the information war, and we’re not doing so great. That’s, in part, because a lot of those people aren’t even aware they’re in an information war to begin with.
There is good news: We can still win. It will take a change in tack, and a little bit of courage.

@RepShontelBrown Thank you congresswoman and the voters that choose reason and compassion over the NRA and the gun industry.

How much do want to bet that he voted Republican?
Kevin McCarthy is a worthless piece of S**T!
Every time this clown opens his mouth, it’s lies, deflection, conspiracy theories, baseless nonsense, and Trump ass kissing. He’s no better than Trump.
Hillary Clinton should file a claim for damages against McCarthy and others who have defamed her.
Clinton’s email server case was investigated. Hillary testified in person, and the case did not warrant charges or prosecution. There was no obstruction. James Comey said there was no case there. Yet, republicans, including McCarthy and Trump keep making erroneous accusations. They don’t even have the courtesy to use the word “allegedly”, which screams defamation. Again, there is no evidence!
Meanwhile, Trump absolutely obstructed justice, and lied to the feds; hence 37 counts.
It’s ridiculous! There is no ethics oversight to stop these idiots from lying their faces off.
The Speech and Debate Clause does not protect against deliberate lies and defamation!
.
This from @mmasnick gets it exactly right:
"Reddit is discovering the same thing that Twitter is also discovering: when you build a service where the value is all the free content that users provide, you’re going to run into some problems when you suddenly start acting like you 'own' all that, and you feel the need to put up paywalls for access.... at some point those users are going to realize they have the power to go elsewhere."
Mostly reclusive and carrying slightly damaged goods. A survivor by some accounts. Definitely in need of much therapy. ;)
Staunchly anti-fascist
Bear in mind that, while I may "like" your "toot", about a person, event or particular topic, if it links to the "bird-site" I will no longer boost and inadvertently contribute to their grift. Everyone has a choice and a part to play when crimes go unpunished.
