S. Naidu: 2023 CX1 was discovered just before impacting (harmlessly) over France.

Imminent Impact Warning System (Scout) worked! This asteroid was posted publicly as soon as orbit was computed, within a few minutes. Then high-level alert sent out withing ~40 min to observers asking for follow-up. Already had predicted impact over western Europe.

Over 6 hours before impact, many more observations came in and impact point became refined, people watched it come in as fireball!
