Much of the mitigation for satellites so far has been 100% centered on professional astronomers using large telescopes. Small telescopes, amateur astronomers, naked-eye stargazers are mostly ignored right now. Working on it!

Ends with Indigenous perspective: everything is connected, there is no outside, no outer space, what you do in one place affects all others.

For Caturday, here's Hebe with her tongue out. Hebe had a rough life in the street before she came to us and she's still skittish, though she will let me pick her up and even trim her nails now. Food is her favorite thing.

For all his scientific accomplishments, Erwin Schrödinger was a sexual predator who wrote in his journal about infatuations with girls as young as 12. He groomed a 14 year old; when she was 17 he got her pregnant then abandoned her.

He argued that his genius gave him the right to pursue young girls.

Just a note on the #BBC:

The BBC is not just the editors of The Today Programme, or Question Time. It is not just that Panorama about ADHD or Stephen Nolan’s Mermaids podcast.

The BBC is also Yasmin Finney and Ncuti Gatwa on Doctor Who. It is Newsround. It is Horrible Histories doing the Bristol bus boycott. It is CBBC dramas for children about autism. It is a platform for new music of all kinds on radio. It has no ads.

Hating “the BBC” because of Tory news editors misses the bigger picture.

This absolute character. Belongs to a friend I was visiting today. #caturday #catsofmastodon

It's #caturday and two black kittens named Infrared and Ultraviolet have fused together into a Power Ranger-esque configuration by snuggling so closely that their bodies are indistinguishable from one another.

My latest post discusses some of Shropshire’s less familiar spirits. Ghosts are such wonderful things, deserving of remembrance. They can serve as conduits for the past. I really hope you enjoy reading!

“The Ford government requesting an ethics investigation into their own political staff is like someone accused of robbing a bank demanding the police focus on their get-away driver. This is a strategic play in response to their Greenbelt corruption scandal. Don’t fall for it.”

I guess Mr. Minx thinks he's Dracula or something because he's all up in Elsa's neck biting it. You never know what you'll see around the Harper Zoo. 🤪

Hey tech folks:
I need to prep for the worst case scenario that I loose my work authorization in the US.
Can anyone recommend a place in the EU that has good Job Opportunities for mid level DevOps/ Python devs?
(I would prefer in Germany, although it does not really matter and it can be remote too)
Just need to start planning where to move when the US kicks me out.
Thanks!!
