Does anyone have any experience with cat urinary disorders?

When we adopted her @ 5+ yrs old, she was already well trained and we never had any litter box issues. Its been 2 yrs.

Now she pees frequently, sitting in the litter, having trouble controlling release and tracking litter everywhere. She also smells very badly of pee and scoots her butt across surfaces.

Any advice welcome. Obviously, I would love to take her to a vet. I called the shelter we got her from for help.

This made me angry to read. As life spans continue to decline in the US and wealth and power are concentrated into the hands of just a few, they literally want to live forever so they never have to give up their money and influence. They say it will positively impact everyone, but we all know if it existed it wouldn't be available to everyone. Many of us can't even go to the doctor if we're sick.
