An American was talking to an Australian about our venomous animals, with crocodiles in rivers; sharks, box jellyfish and blue-ringed octopus in the ocean; venomous snakes all over the country. There is a family of barred owls that live near a wooded path at a local park.

Most of the time they are hidden pretty good in the trees. Once in a while they will appear out in the open like this.
