re-posting an old trick: after you type up a document, and you’re going to re-read it for typos, change the font. This causes your brain to flush the cache and re-parse it, so you’re more likely to spot when it doesn’t actually say what you meant. (Remember to change the font back if it matters…)

From a science communication perspective, we should really say that COVID "vaccines REDUCE transmission” NOT “vaccines prevent transmission”.

When most people hear "prevent" they think that means a 100% reduction in transmission (which is false).
