I just saw that the dude who beheaded the Satanic Temple Statue has already raised over $75,000 to cover his legal funds.

So yes, my cat who has never beheaded an innocent statue and is not an unhinged right-wing politician, indeed deserves to raise at least $75,000.

Trump, DeJoy, Giuliani, DeSantis, Abbott are on the top of that list. McConnell would be on it too, but I'd just blow on him and he'd fall over.

@bodhipaksa @indivisibleteam @Nordstahl Well, I have been distrusting for years of any organization that collects lots of PII and seems to spend the majority of its time on fundraising. At this stage, it isn’t so much that I distrust indivisible, just that they seem no different to me than any of the other dozens of organizations begging for my contact info and money.

My point was more that large centralized organizations that collect information about their members are unwise when we are looking at a decent chance of being under a dictatorship in a year. I just assume that every record from every anti-Trump organization is going to be used by Trump’s Fascists if they get into power.

At this point, the only organization I would join would be a decentralized cell-based underground. I will neither confirm nor deny whether I have joined any such groups.

We have the technology to create secure distributed connections among such groups, so there is no excuse for centralized collection of PII at this point and many good reasons not to. Unless your goal is to raise enough money to pay salaries and operate a 501(c)3 entirely in the open, and not to actually build a structure that would support a resistance.
