Social interaction that went surprisingly smoothly for me at job coaching today:

It was crowded today and most of the computers in the labs were occupied.

I couldn't concentrate, but was hoping to concentrate, so I was seated at and logged into a computer, but wasn't really using it. Glued to my phone.

A guy who looked like he was Japanese and nerdy came and asked me, politely, in English, if he could use my workstation, since I wasn't using it?

My reaction was to log out immediately and let him use it. I was only pretending to work on my task. Why take up a computer that I wasn't really using?

Younger me might've defended being there, making all sorts of excuses, but I just let him take it, because I knew I was fooling myself.
