Yesterday afternoon, I joined 30 volunteers from all over the country to textbank with FL Orange Dems for the HD35 Special Election that took place today. We wend out about 15,000 texts in under a half hour. And you know what? Democrat Tom Keen just won his race by 500 votes.

I took a step back from following US politics. I thought Trump was sufficiently weakened and wouldn't be able to attract the donor support he got last time.

I was wrong.

Iowa has shown that the GOP base has completely solidified around him. The never Trumpers are gone, the paleo cons are gone,the neo cons have fallen in line and now the money will follow.

Retired investigative reporter Jayne Miller’s skepticism about the sale of the Baltimore Sun is on target and it’s weird that others are praising the new local ownership. Who is proud that Sinclair is based in Maryland?

Fortunately, Baltimore also has the non-profit Banner for local journalism.

#QOTO development and update reached its first milestone. We are now brining up the CI pipeline to test it, but the first merge to pull in new features and bug fixes after a LOT of conflicts is ready!

If anyone wants to follow along the new repo is here where the new team is doing most of the activity, but it will be synced soon with the main git too. Right now the work is done in forks but you should see a merge request for it show up in the next day or so.
