"If you board the wrong train, it is no use running along the corridor in the other direction." — Dietrich Bonhoeffer

I have a few regrets, that I didn't really pursue my desired direction--lack of confidence led me to always take the middle, less uncomfortable path. I don't think I'm alone.

I absolutely love it when it's actually cold enough to wear my hand knit gear!

If your church didn’t open its doors to shelter people from the cold that killed dozens of vulnerable people across the US last week, then you really shouldn’t be concerned about abortion. Jesus had nothing to say about abortion, but his views on caring for the less fortunate are pretty goddamn clear.

Caring for homeless folks and other people who live on the edge is hard work. It is often smelly, dirty, and sometimes risky. If your church isn’t willing to take that on, you aren’t Christians.

We joined 15.000 people in Heidelberg today with friends and the entire family to protest against fascism and the AfD. The first big protest for the kids. It was so good to see so many people united against Nazis ✊ #NeverAgainIsNow

Over the next 10 months, we must do all we can to re-elect Joe Biden & Kamala Harris & Democrats up & down the ballot. They’ve done so much for us with the slimmest majority in Congress & they need four more years to finish the job. Let’s do this.

Y'know, "That guy running against Hitler had got to be perfect and Godlike in all possible ways to deserving of my sacred and precious vote" is not the principled stance you think it is.

I have to say its pretty nice being able to eat a five guys burger for dinner with bacon and literally be completely within the bounds of my diet and not needing to cheat at all.

I still wish it had a damn bun though!

Are you mad about the decline of independent journalism (e.g. Pitchfork!)?!

Mass layoffs at newspapers and magazines?

The disappearance of good, fun and sane things to read??

So are we: 60 writers and artists who've formed a cooperative to bring you FLAMING HYDRA, debuting shortly, $3/month subscription, help us get this thing off the ground!

New sound guy at the venue I performed, he was dead nervous bless ‘im. Was not helped when, during the break, he said to me “Can I get you a drink, Rachel?”

Took a moment then asked him “so, who’s the lesbian I remind you of that’s called Rachel?” And he went bright red and said “no comment”

I’m used to being mistaken for other lesbians. I get called Zoe, Hannah and Susan often enough, Rachel’s a new one on me

#Introduction

I'm Katy, I'm #neurodivergent.

My book 'Neurofabulous' will be released May 2024 (JKP).

I've got kids of 13 & 15, who in many ways are more intelligent than me - they're my teachers! They should get the credit, really. I also have a dog, Rosie.

I'm into difference, challenging power structures, and new ideas.

My wish is to be part of this online community of unique, divergent people, who all experience the world differently... & question things too 😊

Hello all, I am interested in following the news about the "PIS rollback" in #Poland, but I cannot speak or read Polish. What can I read in Englis, French or Italian? @rysiek , any pointers?

How does one actually accomplish work stuff with such cuteness laying on the desk and keyboard?

Make no mistake, the GOP is now the party that locks up pregnant people who cross state lines to get an abortion and cheers on guys like Kyle Rittenhouse who cross state lines to commit mass murder.

This has easily outpaced a post of a photo of the Jan 6 rioters at the capitol for most reposts and done it in a very short time.
