1 February 1942 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Betje van Delft, was born in Sappemeer.

She arrived in Auschwitz on 10 December 1942 in a transport of 927 Jews deported from the occupied Netherlands. She was murdered in a gas chamber after selection.

American police(and by extension all police) and Nazi soldiers are very similar, if not identical. Both entities are oppressive forces that uphold the equally as oppressive existing power structures and hierarchies while protecting the interest of the ruling class. Both engage in excessive police brutality, racial profiling, and militarization. Like Nazi soldiers, police actions reflect an allegiance to a system that perpetuates inequality and suppresses dissent.
