my daughter just showed me pics of her swimming with sharks in Hawaii. And now I'm retroactively terrified.

It's been well over a year now here on #Mastodon & it genuinely is one of the most wonderful internet experiences I'd ever had. Even the handful of conflicts I've had have been minor & usually as a result of my own impatience or frustration.

I don't know how many of you know of the concept of "stickiness" in software/app/website design? Facebook or tik tok are famously "sticky" people keep addictively using them because that's what they're designed to do.

Mastodon has a stickiness that is not engineered. I can leave it be, for an extended period but also become really fascinated & engaged with all kinds of people. But mostly it's #CatsOfMastodon & waiting for #Caturday so you can toot this.
