Apparently Twitter just gutted it’s sales & account management teams. You know, the teams that pull in & manage almost of their revenue via ads. Genius.
I ran some number for the subscription service…
To *simply just pay off the interest on their debt* Twitter needs 14.5 million subscribers to Blue.
To make up their ad revenue they need 53.1 million.
So, in total, they need 67.6 million subscribers. Basically, to be as popular a paid service as YouTube, who is 10x larger.
#RIPTwitter
@virtualastro @ParkinJim I'm feeling dizzy
@gpowerf They arent hte only one, there are other inclusive directories.. it is however the first one new users tend to see as it is the only "official" one

In Citizens United, the conservative justices asserted that political money can only be regulated to prevent corruption, and that "Ingratiation and access...are not corruption."
Some have speculated that the justices were naive and didn't get how politics really works.
But this story suggests the opposite: that some justices are politicians in robes who are perfectly comfortable with a system wherein the wealthy and well-connected can buy both access and influence.

@tanjabueltmann @GetCarter @chrisdaleoxford more than a hint, I'd say
Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you to all the people who have liked, boosted and commented on my images, and to all the new followers I have. It's rather humbling. 😊
Today's shot comes from a magical day in the Scottish #Highlands, a few years ago, when I was photographing red squirrels.
These charming characters are incredibly agile and can jump great distances between trees.
Here I managed to capture one as it appears to be flying down my lens.
@zeritum ah, so could be somewhere like Cannock Chase, which I have only visited a couple of times.
@zeritum where is that please? Apart from somewhere colder than Southern England at the moment, judging by the trees.
This is one I took last week, just at dusk
This is your daily reminder that you have millions of friends and allies in the EU.
Also, as reality bites, the debate surrounding Brexit can no longer be contained as a Tory psycho drama (though it surely will be that too). I do wish Labour would speak out louder, but I'm happy to hear The Greens being very vocal.
I smell change on the wind.
