Just a reminder about Mastodon.

Try not to directly upload videos here.
You have to remember that these videos have to be stored on the server that you're hosted on.

This would also eat up on available bandwidth, storage and memory resources of said servers and slow them down. Which would force server hosts to upgrade at a substantial cost.

Suggested idea...

Upload to YouTube, Vimeo or other video streaming services and share the link to the video here instead.

Did you know that if you capitalize each word in a multi-word hashtag, #ScreenReaders can read them as words, but if you leave them lowercase, they can't? Well, now you know! So, for #accessibility, please capitalize words when there's more than one in a hashtag.

Looks like a lot of our fellow Americans do still care about democracy.

Good morning. The only reason we still have a democracy today is because Gen-Z showed up and voted.

Younger voters literally saved America.

There are two journalists I have notice who have recently joined Mastodon and who are doing a great job of being respectful of norms here while also using the platform to be informative.. Shout out to @KlasfeldReports and @adamdavidson. They occasionally but selectively and intelligently RT from bird site, engage with their followers to elicit feedback on what is working and what isn't, and are paving the way for posting norms, especially among journos, to evolve constructively and adaptively.

🗳️ Vote with your great-grandchildren in mind…

Not knowing:

🤠 what they'll look like…

🗣️ what language they'll speak…

🛐 what religion they'll be…

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 who they may marry…

🌐 where they'll live & work…

🌍 And assume they'll need a habitable planet to live on.

As with all Mastodon, the noise is really up to you. Just utilize streams, hashtags, "silence" people, etc. And never use the "Federated Timeline" unless you really want a flood
