@gadgetry please forgive the critique, but as a critical infrastructure defender with formal education in aviation,I beg journalists to stop conflating attacks against transportation facility websites with attacks against their discrete critical infrastructure systems that can cause loss of life in headlines and social blurbs. Their impact is significantly lesser - and more importantly, conducting those attacks require very different people, skills, and technical resources. Securing those infrastructure systems is absolutely integral, but not making this explicitly clear muddies the waters in how and where to do this and what to legislate.
