This is one of my favorite pictures. It feels like it was taken yesterday… but it was taken in a Paris public garden nearly a hundred years ago. Everything feels modern: the composition, the casualness, the daring clothes, haircuts, and accessories.

The colors are original: this is an #autochrome, using the first process for color #photography invented by the Lumière brothers in 1903.

The women are unknown, but I can't help wondering how they fared a few years later in nazi-occupied Paris.

Mum and her two cubs had just returned from hunting out in the loch, and were busy grooming themselves and each other, when a noisy farm vehicle thundered by along the road nearby.

All three looked in that direction, and gave me the opportunity to capture this image.

Such beautiful creatures, though not to be messed with, as they're skilled predators.

Today's shot comes from a magical day in the Scottish #Highlands, a few years ago, when I was photographing red squirrels.

These charming characters are incredibly agile and can jump great distances between trees.

Here I managed to capture one as it appears to be flying down my lens.

Even though she didn't fully understand, she accepted and loved me and helped me me transition at 16 in the 90s a time when it was really heard of or accepted, but she stood my me, and allowed me to live the last 25yrs as my authentic self and be the woman I am today ❤️
I love her so much and owe her everything

Today is #TransDayofRemembrance when we honor and remember trans lives taken by violence. How horrifying that a deadly attack upon the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado Springs should occur right before this solemn day.
Hate isn’t born in us. It is taught. It must end.
This starts with our political leaders, who must cease their cynical attacks against our community before another attack occurs.
Call out the hate. Remind them of its consequences. Hold them to account.

I got the Intel High Definition Audio driver for Redox OS working pretty well and I cannot tell you how fun this is! Playing Duke Nukum 3D in eduke32 at full volume on _real hardware_ on a Rust microkernel feels pretty dope to me!
