Reducing space for cars is often equated with reducing access for people with disabilities.

This is not only false, it prevents cities from creating enabling environments; where those who can't drive can still move safely, conveniently, and autonomously.

It strikes me that the 18 century economic arguments against the plausibility of abolishing slavery were the same as those made today against climate action. Ie, people like cheap stuff more than a better world

Something neat happens when you sort stars by color and brightness.

In this visualization of the stars in the globular cluster Omega Centauri, we can clearly see several groups of stars emerge from this sort: normal, main sequence stars; red giants; blue, horizontal branch stars; and white dwarfs. These are all stages in the lifecycle of Sun-like stars.
