They cut down the great oak that had stood on the property for longer then there had been houses on the street.
Why, the children asked.
Because we wanted more sunlight, they said.
Why, the children asked.
Because it cast such a large shadow, they said.
Why, the children asked.
They could not answer, because they did not know why though the tree was gone, the great dark shadow was still cast upon the ground in the midday sun. ☀🌳

Shit that racist whites need to remember that other racist whites invented:

- Scalping: a British officer invented it as proof a Native American killed French troops/settlers during the Seven Years War
- In the Congo Free State, a conscripted soldier had to produce a hacked off hand for every bullet he used or he'd be beaten for it; no using bullets to hunt so you didn't starve
- Judging POC by skin tone ("lighter is smarter/better") and making POC adopt that standard

In case anyone was wondering what #QOTO is... Well aside from being the name of our instance it stands for "Question Others, Teach Others" and is pronounced like "goto", it is an intentional play on words "goto QOTO" sounds like "goto goto".

The "Stars and Stripes," a militarism site, also reposts #ciapost now

This book seemingly fails to mention any of the people physically affected by #done #assassination campaigns which kill loads of civilians. Focuses on men with small joysticks.
