Took a few more steps today towards having my own instance!
Would be taking more but my chosen server is sloooooooooooooooooooow.
That's half the fun though!

Please BOOST posts you like, not just Favorite them. Mastodon is not centralized like the Bird & has no algorithms driving posts to you & others. The more you Boost what you like, the more others will see it & possibly find another account to follow that’s from another instance.

@Velocity2222
He ultimately gave his life in the pursuit of furthering man's knowledge of the cosmos in the Challenger disaster of 1986. RIP, hero.

Thts the problem with politician types, you always have to infet the motive a bit.. But consider the facts:

1) he knew very well about snow and his motives

2) his first complain 3was basically "you tried to reach out to people and see if you could mend some fences, and only people who invited the communication

3) something about our federation policy which has not changed in 5 years since we joined the list and which eugen has defended many times

4) he literally said in his email " “I will take a listing down if it risks endangering the reputation of Mastodon”." which strongly shows he was making a decision based off popular opinion and not the ethics of the situation

@dnsprincess

@freemo

It is the people who fail, unfortunately. And it's always those who fight supposedly for tolerance.
And unfortunately, instead of everyone talking to everyone I'm afraid that there will start to be a very big polarization and closed groups of only one right vision of the world.

Doing a bit of an experiment. Boost if you agree!

My suggestion, spread this story to journalists and lets get some attention to it..

Here is the list of journalists on the fedi:

You can also boost or link them this toot

The blogosphere which was absorbed by twitter for $0 was eventually turned into a Nazi frat party for Elon. That was the end result, that and billions for Ev, Jack, Biz, Union Square and Spark, and we’re back where we were when they took over. 16 years wasted.

So I decided to post the article I wrote (linked below) on twitter and am going to dump some money into promoting it there. Gotta get some attention to this. Go boost over on twitter if you'd like.

Interested or know someone who is interested in playing #Minecraft but not started yet?

Prowl8413 started his new Bedrock Guide series today and it can really help you get started.

STARTING A NEW WORLD | Minecraft Bedrock Guide S3 EPISODE 1 https://youtu.be/2q4zgpiFU94

In 2021, I started teaching myself #Java Programming for #Minecraft plugins using YouTube videos and whatever answers/explanations to things I could find in Google.

In 2022, I rewrote two of my server's core plugins entirely, making them better, more efficient, and have extra features.

My goal for 2023 is to create a brand new minigame plugin from scratch that will work just the way I want it to and give the players years of fun.

Before starting my server in 2013, I was a web developer working with PHP, which kinda prepared me but also really didn't prepare me. So having gotten this far without a teacher is something I'm really proud of and I hope to continue making progress in an effort to make my server even better.

I'm sharing my goal publicly because as they say... that adds accountability. Now I have to see it through or everyone will ask me about. lol

So... do you happen to have any good resources for learning Java at home?
