@selzero Most often, there is no real merit involved, but rather "meritocracy" is a mere dog whistle for "let's give all the easy jobs to people who grew up rich".

Meritocracy is not a method of escape from oppression.

Elon Musk's war on Wikipedia doesn't prove the value of the people's encyclopedia, but it's some of the best evidence yet.

I think Musk hates Wikipedia for the same reason he hates everyone he doesn't control, especially when it provides accurate information instead of propaganda.
