I'm afraid we have lost the occasion to be that sort of animal when we lost the pelt.
I didn't intend to offend apes, actually. Fortunately I'm pretty sure no ape will ever read this. 🤣
Yet the point is that most of people are stuck, millions years after we diverged from our cousins, into glorified fights for power.
I see it everywhere.
See how #RMS was lynched for what he SAID.
See how #Greta is being attacked from the #mainstream.
Why fight for a better world?
My only answer, these days is: for my daughters.
But am I teaching them right?
Wouldn't it be better for them to learn how to play this game and dominate others?
They are way smarter than most of people.
I try to teach them to love, to listen to be curious... to be #human.
But being the smartest and most cunning #ape in the region would make them more accepted... while being human among apes means being marginalized.
Apes fight for power and status.
At times #humanity makes me feel sad. At times I think we fully deserve extintion.
This struggle hurts.
What should I teach my daughters?
To love or to use?
To teach or to exploit?
To be humans or just the smartest apes around?
These are not easy questions.
If you find the answers obvious, you are you are naive. Even if you have been taught to thing you are cynic.
Why being human in a world of apes? What's the point?
And yet... what life is being a smart and powerful #ape when you could be a human?
I have to say that this is the FIRST time since 20 years I'm seriosly considering to leave Debian GNU/Linux for something else.
From a technical perspective, even just the fact that the Guix people are trying this makes it worthy of my respect.
On the other end this is very sad: https://guix.gnu.org/blog/2019/joint-statement-on-the-gnu-project/
It hurts.

Anyone who does podcasts in the IT/infosec/hacking world... I would like to be a guest sometime if you'd have me...
I need to up BlackFire's visibility, and as such, talking is a great way to do that.
So, if you are ever looking for a guest/stand in co-host/ whatever... I am available.
long, RMS, civil rights, freedom, hypocrisy
This implication is simply bullshit.
I don't agree with #RMS on almost anything (not even the definition of free software which I consider too mild with corporations abuse).
But what happened at @fsf is disgusting.
Software is a form of expression.
Now we have the paradox of #FSF forcing #Stallman to resign for what he said. Not for anything he did, any crime he committed. Not as an effect of a due process.
Just for what he said.
The international crowd of cowards that lynched him over the #Web should lobby to get UN to institute an universal law on #ThoughtCrime so that #hackers will know which opinions cannot be expressed and will have the right to defend themselves in a court.
That's the final step to turn #hypocrisy into an actual evolutive advantage. I mean: at least people like #Epstein don't say what they DO!
Meanwhile what happened to Stallman shows that nobody really care about Universal Human Rights. Nobody ever read nor understood them. I think you should really read them twice. In particular articles 18, 19 and 12.
If you attack a man instead of his arguments, you might defeat the man but not the arguments.
bro says "I just want to discuss technology"
I suggest people to acknowledge the political responsibility of software development by stating the political goals of a project explicitly, in a POLITICS.txt file alongside the README.txt.
Sorry... read too fast...
