Sure: read here about the need to give G. your private key, it is the official docs: https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/9842756?hl=en
It will not directly affect #fdroid, as #fdroid can only build apks, as far as I got it, and not app bundles.
But, as a dev, you end up with two distribution formats, should you also be on the Play Store.
Being a developer, I never published my apps at the Play Store but only on #fdroid .
To use app bundles, you need to give them your private key.
This gives them technically the ability to inject any code into your app.
But hey, what could go wrong?
Hi @tindall@cybre.space, just read your thread at https://qoto.org/web/statuses/106500375406792092 and I totally agree.
#GitHub Copilot's models are derivative works (and derived works) of the sources used to calibrate them and thus can violate #copyright (and patents?!) encapsulated in those sources.
I have a question though.

If you trained it on MPL code, you are in violation of that license.

What clause are you referring to?
In this days I'm finalizing the #HackingLicense (see http://www.tesio.it/documents/HACK.txt ) and I was thinking about this specific problem.
Assuming it could be expressed properly in legalese (without turning the license in a software-only one), I'd be very happy to explicitly impose that any work automatically built out of a covered work would be covered too. If you know a license that impose such terms, I would be eager to learn more about it (MPL is not one... o maybe I'm missing something?)
courtroom, fantasy; (thread missing CW) software licensing, corporations

prosecutor: What is the project's licensing model?
Google employee: It's open-source.
prosecutor: Where is the source code located?
Google employee: The code is in a git repository at android.googlesource.com.. There are instructions for building it on the website at source.android.com..
prosecutor: Very well. Please download the source code onto this laptop and build the project.

@aral Whether it does or doesn't produce derivative works in violation of copyleft is being debated. My expectation is that it does, but there is sufficient murkyness introduced by ML that maybe they'll get away with it.
"What Windows 11 means: We'll be stuck with millions of Windows 10 zombies
Some machines will be left behind despite owners' preferences. Many others will be abandoned because their owners either don't know how, don't care, or refuse to upgrade.".
I will repeat myself, but... If you use Windows anywhere in your infrastructure, you will get hacked.
It's just a question of time.

I think I've never been more forcibly struck than today with the realisation that today's Web developers have never used 1980s BASIC systems and just have no awareness that computers used to be things you could both use and program interactively, in the same session.
We've deprived an entire couple generations of children of a basic formative mind-expanding experience of cognitive freedom, and now they're making tools that restrict other people's thought lives and see nothing wrong with that.

@ekaitz_zarraga @Shamar@qoto.org I haven’t planned JIT compilation, but I’m currently working on the first prototype of my Scheme-like system for RISC-V computers.
It has an assembly-like DSL in it, so it can generate code at runtime. 😄 The language itself is implemented in this DSL so it’ll self-host pretty soon I hope.
(here is the repo for the DSL, check out the examples/*.k files for a quick look

I’ll definitely check out this huge article, it’ll probable help me a lot!
