nothing instills investor confidence like, “we’ll let the lawyers handle it”.

It’s been a big year for the family. Little Donnie is finally wearing his big boy pants, and little Lindsay has finally come to terms with her sexuality, and is starting to dress accordingly. Of course, Mitch and I are about done procreating. I guess you can tell by the look on our faces.
@OneMargaux
Ooo. Can’t unsee that 😬
@Radicalfaery @evacide
I think Cruz was worried about sex toys because his wife was having an “affair”.

The bad ideas coming from Texas, are directly proportional to the number of disgruntled Californians moving there.

13th is another great documentary made around the same time. Should be required for American high school students.
We’ve been sold the “great man” for well over a century. Alone. Resolute. One of those did not ignite fusion for the 1st time last week. Our western myths gloss over that the first transcontinental railroad was financed and subsidized by federal and state governments. We forget westward expansion was fueled by the Homestead Act (free land). Rural electrification, the Central Valley Project, etc. Sorry, Randians, sorry Republicans, that was public investment. https://digbysblog.net/2022/12/14/america-believes-in-investment/

The American dream. They’ve got a pipe full.
Rhode Island District Court denies a preliminary injunction against large capacity magazine ban finding that they are not "arms" within the plain text of the Second Amendment. Even if they were the court says that plaintiffs have failed to prove they are weapons relating to self defense. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.rid.53873/gov.uscourts.rid.53873.37.0.pdf

Anyone can read a book, but it takes a real man to be a fucking idiot.
@leilanimunter
Wait a minute here!…you look out your window? I’m going to need to think about this…
If a venture capital made no attempt to monetize the Internet, I’m not sure we would have the Internet we have today. It had to centralize before it decentralized or it would never be viable. The exciting thing is that the walled gardens we live in have outgrown their usefulness and only occupy a few square inches of the vast real estate that is the Internet. I think we’re at the beginning of a new land rush, and we don’t quite know what to call it yet. Maybe we should be thanking Elon Musk?
Mastodon feels a little like the alternative I was fantasizing about in this 2019 comic.
Jiu-jitsu liberal. Couldn't drink well enough to be a writer or a lawyer. Became a stoned philosopher instead. Sometimes pay the bills.
