Imagine being a musically talented oyster and trying to form a band with your oyster friends, only to find out that the name Pearl Jam has already been taken by HUMANS. I would be furious.

Generally I find myself either too old for this shit, too tired for this shit, too sober for this shit or just plain not in the mood for this shit.

:ablobattentionreverse: LADIES and... MEN (don't dismiss this as female stuff; it's especially important for you):

I highly recommend doing a quiz on finding your apology language, produced by two well-respected people, Dr Gary Chapman and Dr Jennifer Thomas.

Share it with current or potential mates could save a lot of problems when dealing with challenges.

Apparently, Restitution and Planned Change score highest on my apology needs and I don't think I'm alone😊❤

Dr Gary Chapman (The 5 Love Languages) joined with Dr Jennifer Thomas to coauthor “When Sorry Isn't Enough” and “The 5 Apology Languages.”
After seeking input from 90 000 people to date, they developed Apology Languages to use as a guide. They asked participants two questions:

1. “What do you most want to hear with people apologize?”

2. “When people apologize to you, what to you expect them to do or say?”

Dr Thomas says, don't use the same apology key on every door; tailor them to the needs of the person offended.

The Five Apology Languages

Thomas and Chapman defined them as the following:

1. Expressing Regret--Saying “I’m sorry:”

Talk about their feelings. Show that you understand the impact you had on them emotionally — frustration, disappointment, fear, and so on. Be specific.

2. Accepting Responsibility--Saying “I was wrong:”

In a manner of speaking, submit a guilty plea. Don’t try to defend your actions. If your action or inaction was inexcusable, say so. Always be specific. Most importantly, don’t try to pass the hot potato that we call blame.

3. Making Restitution—Asking “How can I make it right?:”

Offer some type of amends to make them whole again. Then ask whether that would be helpful or if something else might better show them how sincere you are.

4. Planned Change—Saying “I’ll take steps to prevent a recurrence:”

We can’t promise to never make a mistake again, but you can tell them what action you have taken or will take to avoid future problems.

5. Requesting Forgiveness--“Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?:”

For some people, an apology for something that is very serious or a repeated problem requires this humbling question. And be patient — they might need some time for you to begin to rebuild their trust.

-Believe that cheesecake is a right, not a privilege.
-Mentally greet each bird you see just in case they are telepathic.
-Think that cruise ships are too heavy to float and refuse to listen anytime someone attempts to explain the physics of it to you.
-Don't see why the government can't criminalize "It's just a prank bro" Youtube videos.
-Want inanimate objects with googly eyes to be eligible to run for president.
