@Nyoei @InvaderXan

I never tried it before. I really enjoy food of all sorts, and in truth I'd probably be willing to try almost anything at least once.

Food is also very cultural. It's shaped by the world around the culture it exists within- and I feel like experiencing a culture through their food would be an excellent communal experience.

(Also I want to brag about how I ate a bowl of bird spit because I'm a silly man.)

@InvaderXan @Nyoei The place I get it here is called Oban Koban and is a Japanese 'Street Food' inspired restaurant. They do a 'Hokkaido Ramen' Here is a pic from their website: images.rest.co.il/Customers/80

@gio I'll have to add that to my list. Italy is a relatively easy trip for me these days.

@black_sun @Nyoei For me, the best food ever is and always will be my Mother's Tuna Casserole.

For me, that is the comfort food that destroys all other comfort foods.

@Nyoei There is a place her in Tel Aviv that does those sort of Ramen bowls. I get the one with pork slices in it. It is *super* fantastic. Ramen in that form is one of my top soups.

I hope you're all having a fantastic day today. It's a beautiful day in Tel Aviv- clear skies with a lot of sun.

I've got a for you guys today:

What is a food that you have never tried but you would like to try?

No wrong answers, just a random question.

My answer? I'd like to try bird's nest soup.

:D I'm enjoying the videos, too!

Serious time.

I'm writing from Pozzuoli, a town on the shore near Napoli, in Italy.
I started studying physics at Federico II university three years ago, and I'm one year away from getting undergrad.
Answering @freemo right now I'm into mathematical physics and I'm enjoying it but I'm yet to specialize in anything, so I could say "everything" as well as "I don't know"!
Before enrolling I was tinkering with electronics and programming. In the spare time in high school, that was a lot, I discovered Linux and FLOSS world, I played with Arduino and spent my time on Istructables.
I've been practicing aikido since I was a child, now I'm 21.
I think you guessed I like to learn, every year I sign up to something new I never did before, and most of all that I never thought of myself doing. This was archery year: I practiced once a week with prehistorical and medieval bows, I built my personal bow with my hands and I go around practicing.
I'm horrified about how the main social medias are purposely distorting people's perception of reality, that's why I'm here.
I give my help in a community that's reviving an abandoned place to make it a common good. It's a widespread practice in Italy but the current government is pretty hostile.

That's a lot for now,
hope to hear about you soon,
Mariano

@commandelicious likewise. 4am is my limit over here.

Goodnight, my friend!

@commandelicious I guess I have a plan for my weekend now. Beer and Stellaris and the first empire to space!

@commandelicious

Yeah, I was a little worried it change the tone of the game in a way I wouldn't enjoy. I, too, was pleasantly surprised that was not the case. I'd say that I enjoy the game much more now with that particular change.

I like to play my maps with minimum hyper-lanes now so I get maximum choke points.

@commandelicious I'm super excited about the way they're redoing the planetary tile system and updating the economics. I'm hoping we'll be able to make trade empires and hyper-space highways/freeways or the like.

@commandelicious Dude, for sure. HOI4 has come a long way and focus trees are an enormous part of that.

I spend most of my gaming time playing Stellaris, though. I love that game.

@freemo @commandelicious

That is pretty cool. I see a lot of dive vids. I have a good friend who's a dive instructor (Now in Destin FL, but he was in Eliat for a while) that took me on a tandem dive in the Red Sea as I'm by no means certified.

Just fantastic. Highly recommended if you ever get a chance.

@commandelicious
I just took a look at your youtube channel. I'm a big fan of Paradox games, too, so I'll def be giving you a watch.

@KingTherapy @js290 I will absolutely have to look into that. Speaking of the Nabateans, I'm planning a trip to Avdat sometime soon. Probably in the winter when it isn't quite so disgustingly hot.

@KingTherapy @js290 Yeah, absolutely. I haven't done a ton of research into Arabic's past, but I'd imagine it is a very interesting linguistic history. The language is widely spoken, and I'm under the impression it isn't all mutually intelligible despite being mostly classified by many scholars as being the same language.
