@johnrandom@cryptids.online Good Morning, the orb.

@spookcentral@cryptids.online Okay. Do you want a hug? I can do a hug.

So, remember like a week or so ago I was like 'I FOUND PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE COMPUTER MODEL I'M GETTING'

I haven't experienced any of those issues. None at all.

Thermals are pretty good for now, no heat issues seen so far. (Throttling, et al.)

The 'Reverse Ghosting' issue on the screen, haven't seen that either. (Although, I did have a skybox issue with Doom 2016, but I don't think that is related to the laptop.)

Yeah, all in all it's exactly as I figured. A few very loud and complaining people who got issues and now are shouting as loud as possible. All in all very happy with my purchase.

bigotry on fedi

@masterofthetiger@theres.life @freemo @USBloveDog There is a difference between absolute truth, and non-objective morality.

Absolute Truth does indeed exist. There are facts that are absolute truth. They may not be known, and we're doing our best to get there- but those things exist.

That being said, gender is not on the moral spectrum. It is not right or wrong- it just is. It exists like so many other things that are wholly amoral. The standard is a cultural and societal construct.

For instance, there are many provable, accepted 'Third Gender' situations within various cultures and societies.

I think, however, this discussion has passed beyond the scope of bigotry and this particular conversation.

I'd be glad to continue it, however, on QoTo directly.

Seriously debating getting a second cat so my first cat isn't lonely during the day.

I would name him Emperor Fluffyfoots the First of Renshire.

bigotry on fedi

@masterofthetiger@theres.life @freemo @USBloveDog @Elizafox Eh.

I can see it being similar in the sense there *might* be a scale between male/female, but one's gender is way outside of the realm of morality of any sort.

Gender is wholly amoral, and morality has nothing to do with one's gender.

In the sense that the truth, in this case, is defined by the person- that I can agree with. It is an absolute truth, though. I, for instance, am a heterosexual man who was born a man and is attracted to women.

That's a truth. There's no questioning it.

The same truth for another should be respected as highly as mine is. That is the point.

You and I do not get to decide for someone else what they are, who they are, or how they believe. And, as long as what they believe is not in anyway causing true harm to themselves or others than live and let live, right? Judge them based on the kind of person they are and not on their definition of themselves.

bigotry on fedi

@masterofthetiger@theres.life @freemo @USBloveDog @Elizafox The original post in this conversation- or rather, series on the thread, is more along the lines that it is just as bigoted to 'hate all CisHet/Straight people' as it is to hate ENBIes/Trans/WhatHaveYous.

It is bigotry when you tell someone else that their non-harmful way of living is incorrect, wrong, evil, against the natural order.

Ultimately, it is not your business if someone born male or female in terms of biological sex is gendered differently than chromosomes and biology state.

You are more than welcome to believe there is a standard when it comes to gender.

I feel you'd be wrong in that belief, based on my own understanding of what, exactly, Gender is and how different societies have treated it. I feel there is factual proof that gender as normally understood is a construct of society, culture, and language.

I wouldn't feel comfortable saying there is a spectrum, or if there are a thousand different genders with their own names, or if there is just differing shades of a single gender, or if gender doesn't exist. I'm not well learned enough to make a concrete definition.

I can tell you, though, that I feel in that the same I feel about sexuality, and the same way I feel about religion:

If what you feel/believe/are isn't causing any harm to you or anyone else than you're in a perfectly legitimate spot. Fuck what other people think, in that case, and just you do you. I'll always support someone in that position- even if I don't agree with them.

@Ophillous ...acceptable.

In seriousness, I hope you find solace and peace with this particular thing. I can't know what, exactly, that is like to live 'not out' due to that whole cishet thing.

I'll keep throwing love your way, Bees, just keep on keepin' on! :)

@Ophillous Just remember that you are fantastic, okay?
