@Surasanji
The breakfast buffet at the Scandic Luleå! It was the best breakfast I've ever had. Most unexpected for what's essentially a travel motel. They even make their own breads and granola! 10 kinds of yogurt, including lactose free and soy yogurts. If I lived there I'd want to eat there every morning.
@Surasanji A long lie in and an early lunch with something fish related:) I prefer sleeping to eating ❤️
@Surasanji Hey! I hear Tel Aviv is very beautiful. I have never been there but I'd love to go just to see the history of such a place.
My perfect breakfast depends on if you mean healthy every day breakfast vs just the tastiest.
The tastiest would have to be poffertjes with lots of butter. freshly made, just a little goey onthe inside. Its a dutch thing and its the most delicious thing I've ever put in my mouth (and I have put a lot of things in my mouth!).
But alas I am on a keto diet, and even if I wasnt they are pretty unhealthy for you. On my keto diet my goto breakfast is 2 fried eggs cooked in butter with salt and hot pepper. If I'm particularly hungry I will also toast up a small slice of my homemade no-carb bread I have in the fridge (the specific variety varies every time I cook it).
@Surasanji Baguette with nutella, rapsberry jam and cheese. Not all at once of course and with that either milk or tea.
Now I'm hungry.
Holy crap it just took me a LOT of time to catch up with all the introduction posts and notifications since I went to bed. QOTO has grown so big so fast I can barely keep up.
Its amazing that despite the explosion in users on #QOTO that everyone remains so loving, inclusive, and respectful to each other. You guys really give me hope in the human race again (and I had started to loose that hope lately).
We have not had a single report from/to anyone on QOTO, you guys rock. Stay awesome to each other, I love you all!
Salutations friends of #qoto!
On my bus on the way to work. It's another beautiful day here in Tel Aviv.
I hope it'll be a beautiful day for you too!
I'm a bit peckish so this morning I'm asking another #randomquestion about food:
What is your perfect breakfast?
For me I'm looking at a Full English with a side of waffles.
@Surasanji Yes, it's "Punkt" for "full stop".
: Doppelpunkt
. Punkt
, Komma
@Surasanji in portuguese it's called "ponto final"
I've got a question- a friend of mine works in IT and has asked some help with communicating with some of his international clients. He's specifically asking about Portugal and Germany.
The question is what a "." is called in those regions. In American English it would be a period. In British English it would be a full stop. A lot of people just call it 'Dot'
Any help is appreciated.
Hi #QOTO!
I am a paleontologist/geologist. My research interests are in paleontology. I mostly focus on using quantitative methods, my Master's thesis used morphometrics and multivariate statistics to quantify species within a single bivalve genus. I now work for a university as a geology lab manager. I mostly teach and coordinate the introductory undergraduate course labs.
I'm also just an all around science nerd, so I'm excited to meet other scientists and discover new things. I love to be always learning. Along with this comes an appreciation for most #scifi and fantasy things out there.
To the hundreds of new QOTO users we got over the last 24 hours. Please drop me a line if i didnt follow you or forgot to reshare your introductions. I have been very busy with work and keeping up with the huge surge of new users. It is possible one or two of you wonderful people slipped through the cracks, and that would be a travesty to all!
Apparently, Imgur wants to sell me a lie detector. I don't know if I can trust my friends now. Thanks for the heads-up Imgur!
Another #randomquestion for the fine peoples of QOTO:
Which song or musical artist is your guilty pleasure to listen to? This song/band/artist should be the candy you only enjoy when you think no one is watching!
So who is it?
For me it's Hall and Oates. I love them. Sing along while I chill out.
Again: No wrong answers. Just fun questions!
I hope you're all having a fantastic day today. It's a beautiful day in Tel Aviv- clear skies with a lot of sun.
I've got a #RandomQuestion for you guys today:
What is a food that you have never tried but you would like to try?
No wrong answers, just a random question.
My answer? I'd like to try bird's nest soup.
Serious #introduction time.
I'm writing from Pozzuoli, a town on the shore near Napoli, in Italy.
I started studying physics at Federico II university three years ago, and I'm one year away from getting undergrad.
Answering @freemo right now I'm into mathematical physics and I'm enjoying it but I'm yet to specialize in anything, so I could say "everything" as well as "I don't know"!
Before enrolling I was tinkering with electronics and programming. In the spare time in high school, that was a lot, I discovered Linux and FLOSS world, I played with Arduino and spent my time on Istructables.
I've been practicing aikido since I was a child, now I'm 21.
I think you guessed I like to learn, every year I sign up to something new I never did before, and most of all that I never thought of myself doing. This was archery year: I practiced once a week with prehistorical and medieval bows, I built my personal bow with my hands and I go around practicing.
I'm horrified about how the main social medias are purposely distorting people's perception of reality, that's why I'm here.
I give my help in a community that's reviving an abandoned place to make it a common good. It's a widespread practice in Italy but the current government is pretty hostile.
That's a lot for now,
hope to hear about you soon,
Mariano
