It's time for #ShareTheMusic

Today I'd like to tell you about one of my favorite artists: Lord Huron.

Lord Huron has a folk-rock vibe and is into telling stories with his albums- concept albums, if you will.

I haven't found an album of his that I don't enjoy.

His albums are available on spotify, and a great many of his songs can be found on youtube.

Here's one of my favorites: youtu.be/ckL2gbTUaIU

I hope you enjoy this edition of .

Do you have a genre you enjoy? If so, let me know. My music tastes are eclectic and I love sharing music. Let's spread the love and share the music!

I had an idea for a new hash tag that would go beautifully with the QOTO mentality of bringing people with opposing views together. We can call it or for short.

It will be a day where you show the things you appreciate about the other side of the spectrum.

For example if your liberal then you post something you respect about conservatives, if your conservative you post something you respect about liberals.

Each person who wants to participate should try to post one or more a day and when you see someone post something complimenting a group you are in try to respond with a similar back at them!

I'd love to hear everyones thoughts, if you all like it I can try to kick it off.

Politics

Ok, I got this a few times on my timeline now:
Next time you see someone why you think they might be a communist, anarchist or socialist just ask them.
Engage and ask them why they feel that is the right choice and then find common ground, it's usually very easy.

@Surasanji How big is the field of that skill?

For example, bushcraft survival includes many skills, from cooking to hunting to water harvesting. How up can we go with the levels?

I'd say I'd like the master the skill to learn anything very efficiently, so that all the other skills will still be available but I can enjoy learning them =)

I haven't done my so far so let's fix that.

You can call me Criw, I'm a second year software engineering student. I'm way more interested in low-level programming such as writing drivers than in webapps & similar stuff. I'm just starting to learn about that tho. And I like to contribute to opensource projects to learn and practice, in case you want contributors for something <3

Besides programming, I like to spend my time finding new music, and I'm recently learning to cook, so if you have any easy recipe you wanna share do it ;)

And IDK what else to tell ya'll, so if you have any question go on <3

@Surasanji Being able to open a Visual Studio project one year later after writing it and having it compile without blasting 6 hours out of my day fixing all the redesign issues between major updates that happened to the IDE, to external libs.

Gooood Monday ! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.

Today's is as follows: Imagine you discovered a way to master a single skill instantly. You know this will only work once. What skill would you choose to master?

I'd personally want to master Bushcraft survival.

So much of my life experience comes from being Extremely Online: dumb memes, weird communities that fit into too narrow a niche to ever self-assemble offline in a single location, a faith in my ability to access almost all human knowledge from the device in my pocket. It's genuinely fucking weird to spend time with a guy who sees all that shit as inscrutably alien, but who can talk about the time a V1 flew over his head while he was cycling home and took out the row of houses opposite.

@freemo Just noticed you were born and raised in Philly. I graduated highschool in Montgomery County. Methacton, specifically. Man, I miss Philly sometimes.

@dnannann
Have a friend whose a civil engineer for a large metro traffic department say last week:

"nothing makes me smile like when someone complains about forty single occupant cars having to wait for a two hundred occupant light-rail to pass and I get to smugly reply, 'workin as intended'. "

Hello qoto!
I'm very keen to try out the LaTeX support. So here goes:
\[\Phi = -\mu_\text{e} + e\chi = -(\mu_\text{e} - e\chi)\]
(That's the work function, or the mininum work required to extract an electron from within the sample to a position just outside it).
