If this year taught us anything, it's that:
1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires.
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers.
3) Poverty is a policy choice.
4) Health care is a human right.
5) Strikes work.
I hope we act on these lessons in the new year.

An investgation covering 19 US cities -- including Seattle and Portland -- found that CenturyLink, Verizon, AT&T, and EarthLink routinely offer slow internet speeds to poorer neighborhoods for the same price as they offer higher speeds in other areas.
In two-thirds of the cities where there was sufficient data to compare, the worst deals were offered to the least-white neighborhoods, aligning with former redlining boundaries.

And that's why nothing conservatives say make sense - even when they're not lying.
Conservatives think about morality in terms of personal virtues, and are incapable of thinking about themselves as bad.
So when a racist cop murders a black child, the conservative response test isn't "would the child be alive if he were white".
The test is "does the cop's personality seem specifically malicious relative to my own inherent distrust of the other, or can i relate?"
Gonna go outside. It's a sunny day and above 40⁰. I burned 10 boxes of wood during that bomb cyclone 8 days ago. I need to refill the boxes and put most of them into my storage shed. Good exercise too.
